On the New Challenger circuit you will finally come across 'Bumblebee Man' beat him and he will be come unlocked. After, quit the person you are using (e.g Willie) and start over with 'Bumblebee Man' as he is the best player to use to beat all the other characters including Ned Flanders.
Bonus Match Up
At the main screen when it says 'press start' press circle, up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right. At the top it should say 'bonus match up on.' Then press start, at the bottom the screen there should be a new feature called 'bonus match up.'
Big Ape Mode
During game play press start then press circle, L1, circle, R1, circle, L2, circle, R2, you will hear a noise to confirm entry.
