An Introduction to Simpson University Athletics
Simpson began its intercollegiate athletic program with a men’s basketball team in the 1950s. Today the Simpson University athletic program has a dual membership in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). We compete in the California Pacific Conference and compete in the sports of men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, men's wrestling, and men’s and women’s golf.
Simpson University athletics started in the 1950’s and now is comprised of 12 sports. Playing in the Cal Pac conference gives Simpson one of the biggest NAIA conferences to compete in. The Cal-Pac conference is composed of Menlo College, William Jessup University, UC Merced, Pacific Union College, La Sierra University and Cal State Maritime.
